Athletic Director’s Philosophy
As Christians we are to work for the Lord with our entire being (heart, soul, and mind). This work can only be done by having a firm foundation in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. I believe that Jesus Christ is my life line and I am to serve Him and others while I go through life (Mt. 22:36-40).
Having a firm foundation in Jesus Christ has given me a bigger picture for sports. I believe my role is to be a F.A.T. coach and entrust these principals to each student-athlete. This idea has been borrowed from Dr. Howard “Prof” Hendricks, my teacher and mentor, at Dallas Theological Seminary.
F.A.T.
2 Tim. 2:2 “entrust these things to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.”
F – Faithful – to God in all that you do.
A – Available – to serve others and a willingness to serve
T – Teachable – a willingness to learn and being able to teach others.
