Evelyn Freeman brings an historical perspective of the School to the Cambridge Board. Many of the communication pieces and school traditions were established during 2001-03 when she served as the Director of Communications. While at Cambridge she taught Journalism, directed the publication of the yearbook and even coached the high school girls’ basketball team in addition to the communication responsibilities.
Prior to moving to Dallas, she was a classroom instructor at Texas Tech University in the College of Mass Communications. She has served on the Strategic and Public Relations Committee for the Paris Independent School District and the Governance Board of McCuistion Regional Medical Center in Paris, Texas. Evelyn and her husband, Jack, are active members of Park Cities Presbyterian Church. Their youngest daughter, Lauren (Class of 2003) and their daughter-in-law, Emily Hyslop Freeman (Class of 2002) are Cambridge alumni.
