Getting To Know Paul By His Words
On Christian Education:

“Christian Education prepares for life by preparing one to think wisely, discerningly and competently from within a coherent and robust worldview for significant and meaningful cultural interaction. The Christian educational institution is the primary means, especially in western cultures, by which the church's leaders are equipped, prepared and set forth in spiritual engagement. The church and her educational institutions must work hand in hand to effectively, strategically, and faithfully carry out this mission.”
“Both as an institution and as individuals, vision must guide, excellence and commitment must drive, and grace and humility must characterize. All of this is achieved primarily by the right people rather than programs or facilities. An institution cannot be driven primarily by the market for that can obscure a wisely considered vision, cannot be driven by numbers for that can create an unhealthy inertia and push off course, and cannot be arrogantly proud in its ways for that is in contradiction to the stated purpose of glory to God alone.”
“The faculty is central to the fulfillment of institutional mission, and, thus de facto determine the character of an institution.”

On Leadership:

“Meaningful leadership is always in service of something and others beyond oneself, ultimately, of course, the will and purposes of God. It is characterized by integrity, honesty, humility, the ability to be firm yet willing to be gentle, a clear understanding of purpose and able to articulate that purpose, all with discernment and focus to inspire others who can help accomplish that purpose without compromising the integrity. In this sense, leadership enables and empowers others while giving them accountability.”
“Leadership inevitably sets the tone, and is to cast the vision and purpose, to bring cohesion and stability, to positively relate to all constituencies of any organization. These things are accomplished in large part by building in others a trust and confidence in the organization. That is most effectively accomplished through trustworthy and competent leadership.”

On Ministry:
“To live in such a way as to reflect the character of God in every area of life is the essence of what it means to
live christianly. Christian ministry, then, is ordering life decisions and actions so as to challenge and enable others to embrace the Lord, understand His character, and live their lives accordingly.”
“Ministry means life committed to people. Understood in this way, ministry is seen as a discipling life, whether vocational or nonvocational. However, the vocational minister has all the more obligation and accountability to rightly reflect the character of God.”

About The Cambridge Head of School Search Process

The Cambridge School of Dallas Search Committee began a nationwide search for a permanent head of school in May 2007. Members of the Search Committee were Robin Wantland as Chairman, Cathy Tippen, Jamie Lake, Louie Little, Nancy Mowrey, Stan Keith, and Grace Monroe. This one and a half year journey led to contacts with over one hundred secondary schools, almost two dozen colleges and universities, numerous individuals in education and theology, and the engagement of an educational search firm. Dr. Wolfe is one who truly understood the unique and special mission of our school. His experience, creativity, integrity and passion clearly satisfy the many strenuous criteria and qualifications developed by the committee and the Board of Trustees.
He had the unanimous and enthusiastic recommendation of the Search Committee to the Board of Trustees. After a thorough review, the Board of Trustees also unanimously endorsed Dr. Paul Wolfe as the next Head of School
