The weekend of November fifth and sixth, after being made aware of the opportunity by their Apologetics and Philosophy professor Dr. Lee, some of the Cambridge School of Dallas students made the trek to Denton Bible Church to attend an Apologetics conference appropriately named ‘On Guard.’ The conference hosted a number of well-known apologists such as, William Lane Craig, J.P. Moreland, Mike Licona, Sean McDowell, Craig Hazen and Paul Nelson and addressed difficult issues such as the war of worldviews, the case for the existence of God, and can we trust the gospels. The students not only took notes on each speaker’s presentation, but also capitalized on the opportunity to speak and take a picture with William Lane Craig, whose photograph hangs on the wall of the Apologetics classroom within the timeline of famous apologists. The conference as a whole was deemed quite thought-provoking and interesting by the students and most definitely worth their while since now another picture with Craig hangs proudly on the wall.
