Athletic Philosophy

It is the goal of The Cambridge School of Dallas Athletic Department to foster an environment that enables student athletes to be coached in the intricacies of their individual sport, in addition to learning the values and lessons closely associated with the Classical Christian educational experience. Our philosophy is one of inclusion, that encourages participation by all Cambridge students in at least one sport per year. From our dedicated and caring coaches, Cambridge student-athletes learn sport specific skills, as well as enduring and life-applicable lessons such as sportsmanship, time management, leadership, teamwork, commitment, critical thinking, determination, and self-discipline, all while setting and obtaining individual and team established goals. We believe that students’ involvement in athletics deepens favorable habits, social attitudes, self-discipline, confidence, and self-esteem.
